Wayfarer wines are made from our organically farmed estate vineyard in the Fort Ross-Seaview appellation, just four miles from the coast and nestled high on a ridgeline.  Here, generous sunshine and chilly ocean air combine to create a remarkable tension of luscious texture, structure and vibrancy in the wines - a signature that cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world.   

Wayfarer’s flagship Pinot Noir and Chardonnay 'The Estate' encapsulate the truest representation of our estate vineyard each vintage.  Our multiple clonal selections are planted in individual blocks on both east and west facing slopes, providing myriad expressions of clone, aspect, elevation and microclimate to build an architecture that reveals the complex character of our exceptional vineyard. 

The ‘Block Selection’ Pinot Noirs and Chardonnay – Mother Rock, Golden Mean, Paige’s Ridge, The Traveler and Cuvée Cleo – are 50 to 150-case limited-production bottlings that showcase especially compelling and unique micro-parcels and clonal selections from within our vineyard. The Block Selections are released once per year in September via allocation to our mailing list and to our Membership. 

Ways of Wayfarer explores exceptional cool-climate hillside vineyard sites beyond Wayfarer’s estate vineyard in Fort Ross-Seaview, chosen for their established track record of excellence in farming and distinctive fruit character. The Ways of Wayfarer label allows Wayfarer’s ethos of continuous improvement through attention to detail and experimentation to be applied to a new array of compelling terroirs. 

The first offering of Ways of Wayfarer wines, from the 2023 vintage, will be released in May 2025. 

WF2 wines show the fresh, approachable character of our Fort Ross-Seaview estate vineyard.  Blended from barrels chosen for their liveliness, generous fruit, supple texture and less new oak influence, these wines are perfect for enjoying young while waiting for your Wayfarer wines to age. They possess a true sense of place, outstanding quality and exceptional value.
